Portraits

Over the years, as all folks do, I have documented family, friends, colleagues, strangers, animal companions. My observations have been that a lot of undercurrent emotions are expressed by the types of facial expressions they present. And there is always their back story.

In essence, most of these were way before digital; some were originally shot with B&W film on my original Pentax 35mm- no zoom; no interior light meter. Others in color film. For cohesion, I’ve used similar Snapseed app and Photoshop filters to be able to personally process their expressions. All engaged with love and the utmost respect, though. Many are no longer with us. And for that, there is felt significant loss.
