Hello, I’m Carolyn Parker. I’m a fine art photographer and upstream media creator exploring the architectures of memory, identity, and reflection. I observe and honor lineage while examining the thresholds between unity and autonomy, rupture and renewal, the material and the unseen. Generative techniques sometimes enter as a way of listening differently—to images already made, to histories already lived. The work asks what remains when explanation is no longer required, and when authority comes not from mastery, but from integration.
About_
Raised as an identical twin with two younger twin sisters in a rural suburb of Cincinnati, I’ve learned how perception continually shapes us. Across analog, digital, and hybrid processes, layered metaphors, allegories, and patterning trace the shifting contours of the Self. Through vessels, fragments, shadows, and emergent forms, I investigate what is held, what dissolves, and what becomes visible in transit.
Design_
My work unfolds within a conceptual a porous field that I call the Practice. These bodies of work form a taxonomy of becoming: a way of reading change, coherence, and transformation across time and medium.
