Counterpoint

Themes of space, light, and relationships between the material and the spiritual and between silence and resurgence, memory shifts its shape. Quiet vessels cradle what remains; fragile echoes suspended in stillness.

Parker strives to access latent and ancestral memory, inviting introspection. She attempts to strike balance between feelings of disorder and chaos redeemed by her sense of revival and acceptance.

Vessel of Memory

Gathering what lingers—fragments, whispers, the delicate architecture of recollection held in quiet suspension. Together they embody a counterpoint between containment and release, silence and song.

Fragments

Exploring memory as a restless current rather than a fixed container. Terracotta forms collide with delicate tracings, creating a visual rhythm that evokes fragments breaking apart and reforming in unpredictable ways. Here, memory is not static—it is alive, colliding with the present, scattering into organic shards, then recombining into new patterns. The work embodies the unleashed energy of recollection, where control and release coexist in counterpoint.
