Held in the Interval

Held in the Interval began with a dream and a sense of restlessness I couldn’t resolve by making more images to attempt interpretation. As fragments of memory, civic awareness, and lived history surfaced, the work shifted from accumulation to restraint—from generating images to interrupting what would otherwise pass forward unchanged.

These three pieces mark a threshold not of crossing, but of pause: a decision to stay long enough to notice, and to choose how tools like Midjourney are used—with limits, absence, and care. What emerges is not conclusion, but an interval held open.
