States of Life

Stylistically, what captures my attention in the material world is interpreting a variety of formal elements, arranging them in-camera and in post-production so that a personal narrative or memory is evoked. A melancholic naïveté permeates the world-weary artifacts- organic and man-made.

My intention is something akin to an ongoing prayer- a virtual scrapbook memorializing these ancestral Appalachian roots. They’re responses to internal yearnings, gratitude; it’s my way to manage these poignant emotions.
